The Sahara

the region of tafilalet lies on the south eastern edge of morocco.and was formest importance in history of the country .the alouit dynasty to which the present king belong 's originated here in 1640.
between the ziz and gheris wadi (river) it was founded erfoud in 1917 as militarry post and today is the departure point of excursions into the region and is noted among other things for the date festival which takes place after the harvest in octobober and this festival during about 3days .
in the edge of the desert the recent of erfoud is surrounded by extensive palm groves of tafilalet .
